The Pend Oreille Players Association is a nonprofit community theater organization dedicated to providing family-oriented performances and arts education. POPA offers a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for youth and adults to explore their creativity, develop essential life skills, and grow into compassionate and engaged members of our community through the magic of live theater. POPA’s mission is to inspire, educate, and entertain the community through low and no cost opportunities to participate in and enjoy live production and performance.

Piecing, applique, needlework, and quilting have been used for several millennia across the world. Textile products traditionally associated with quilting include bed coverings, home furnishings, garments and costumes, wall hangings and cultural artifacts. Exceptional examples of all of these will be on display over Memorial Day weekend here in Chewelah at this year’s Quilt Show.

Now in its 7th year, Chewelah’s Got Talent has become a well-loved tradition — a chance for local performers of all ages to step into the spotlight and share what they do best.

From musicians and dancers to comedians and unique variety acts, this event highlights the creativity and spirit that make Chewelah such a special place to live. It’s a night where the community comes together to support one another and celebrate the diverse talents found right here at home.

Join us on May 24th at the Chewelah Center for the Arts for a live performance featuring this year’s finalists. Your ticket helps support event costs, cash prizes for our performers, and the continuation of this growing local tradition.
